Finish Line

Updated: Feb 6, 2022

Have you ever listened to a song that literally told a story about your life or your circumstances at that particular time? That's exactly how I feel right now! I've listened to Ciara's song Level Up so many times because the beat is so catchy and I love the video. But I never realized how much this song applies to my life right now! LORD knows I feel like I'm finally leveling up, and it's all due to his mercy, kindness, and compassion!! Honestly, I was struggling a few months ago, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. I felt like I couldn't catch a break! I was juggling so many responsibilities, school, work, marriage, and my health.

I will never forget, sometime last year that I was talking to a good friend at work. I remember feeling overwhelmed that day, my heart was heavy and I was just mentally exhausted. At the time we didn't speak about it, but she texts me later that day. She sent me this beautiful post on Pinterest. When I tell you it uplifted my spirit, it just made me feel empowered! I felt supported, like she saw me struggling mentally, and sent me a word of encouragement. Not only did she send that to me, but she then said to me, " Our Creator whispered that I need to help you cross the finish line." The last part of her sincerity was the icing on the cake. I feel like I finally crossed the finished line and by the mercy of The Most High, I've accomplished so many wonderful things. I graduated from my Master's program, got my driver's license, and I started my blog! I began to level up in a way that helps me to feel good, happy, and content. These are things that have experienced trials and tribulations with and I'm so grateful to be able to say that I completed this part of the journey in my life. We all have a checklist of goals and things we want to accomplish. My only advice is to keep pushing forward, trust in God and yourself. Don't give up on the process because the stronger your faith is the more beautiful the celebration will be at the finish line.
