Growth is a process. In what ways am I growing? I’m growing in areas of my self-esteem, my confidence, and my faith and trust in myself. I’m not going to say that my self-esteem is low, because that isn’t the case. In fact, it’s much better than it has been. I’m actually in the season of my life, where I’m reflecting on my self-esteem when it comes to my decision-making and facing my fears. Listen, I’m 30 and I’m finally comfortable with learning how to drive after practicing on and off since I was 21! So this is what I mean when I say I’ve got to face my fears. It’s about tackling that doubt when it creeps up!! I’m gaining more confidence to take on new challenges in my life. Such as living in a new state, working virtually, and still trying to maintain my peace and happiness. On top of that, I’m going from catching trains to driving on highways. From hearing honking cars and loud voices to hearing crickets and closing blinds at night because it’s pitch black. Now don’t get me wrong, I wanted this change, this growth. I just have to cultivate the courage and confidence in myself to adapt to it. If you are going through a season of growth in your life, I encourage you to reflect on it, embrace it, and see it for what is. It’s just an opportunity to become better in areas of your life that require a little more of your time and effort. Ultimately it’s for the betterment of you, allowing you to become a better version of yourself.
